The fourth hearing for the state compensation lawsuit in the Suraj case has ended.

The fourth hearing for the Suraj case's state compensation lawsuit was held on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. in Courtroom 705 of the Tokyo District Court.
Once again, the gallery was full, indicating the continued high level of interest in this case.

The government has not submitted documents related to the rebuttal, which was due on May 14, and has asked the court to wait until June 20. The presiding judge also commented that the government's dishonest response must be addressed regardless of the progress of the criminal case. The government clearly stated that it will refute any points that need to be refuted by the next hearing. It seems that the focus will be decided next time and things will finally move forward.

Today, after the trial, we moved to the Bar Association building, where the lawyers spoke about the progress of the state compensation lawsuit so far and its future direction (the photo shows the report). Many questions were asked by the participants, and we were able to share once again the cruelty and absurdity of this case.

The next hearing will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. in Courtroom 705 of the Tokyo District Court.
We appreciate your cooperation in attending the hearing.
