APFS, in collaboration with the NPO Takashimadaira ACT, is conducting a "Comprehensive Support Project for the Independence of Multicultural Families."
(Supported by the Social Welfare Promotion Grant Program of the Japan Welfare and Medical Service Agency)
As part of our business, we have been working on "vocational training for career development for women from multicultural families."
We collaborated with Takashimadaira ACT to create a system that allows foreign women to take the "Introductory Training for Care Workers" course while receiving Japanese language instruction.
We asked I-Helper School to conduct the "Introductory Training for Care Workers."
On February 7, 2015, a graduation ceremony was held for those who completed the "Introductory Training for Care Workers."
At the graduation ceremony, School Director Fumiji Inoue presented each graduate with a certificate of completion. The graduates, upon receiving their certificates, all jumped for joy. This program started with five participants: three Filipino women, one Sri Lankan woman, and one Bangladeshi woman. However, the Bangladeshi woman was unable to continue, so the graduation ceremony was held with four participants. Some graduates have already received invitations from their internship sites to join their facilities. The four graduates, who have obtained the qualification of Certified Care Worker, will each pursue their own aspirations, build further careers, and play an active role in Japanese society. Representatives of the NPO Takashimadaira ACT, including Hisato and Hattori, and APFS advisor Yoshinari, also attended the graduation ceremony. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to School Director Inoue and Professor Yamamoto for looking after the four graduates for the past six months.
