Urgent protest statement against non-prosecution decision
We feel strong indignation over the decision not to prosecute, which has only just been made two years after the incident.
Regarding the cause of Suraj's death, a re-examination of his preserved heart revealed a tumor, which was determined to have caused arrhythmia. The family was completely unaware of the fact that his heart had been preserved, and now, two years later, they find it hard to believe when they are told that his heart has in fact been preserved and that his death was caused by a tumor that was originally in his heart.I have doubts as to whether the heart that is being kept in storage is indeed Suraj's and whether the identification is reliable.
The immigration officer's use of force against Mr. Suraj was within the bounds of legitimate conduct.Given that the video recording had been stopped and no records were left, how could the immigration bureau have determined that this was within the scope of legitimate conduct? One has to say that this is a judgment based on a unilateral argument on the part of the immigration bureau.I am terrified that in the future, any repressive measures used during deportations will be deemed legitimate.
In the ongoing lawsuit seeking state compensation, the defendant, the government, submitted its first substantive preparatory documents on June 20th.The content of the argument is similar to the prosecutor's argument for non-indictment this time, and the timing is also the same, which shows that the prosecutors and the government have been working together to coordinate the matter.I am convinced of this.
We believe that this non-prosecution decision isWe strongly protest this, as we believe that the prosecution and the government are colluding to trample on people's human rights and lives.
