In recent years, in light of the situation where it has become more difficult to grant special permission to stay to those who have filed a petition for reconsideration,
On November 11, 2013, the "Memorandum of Inquiry regarding Special Residence Permission for Those Who Have Filed a Petition for Retrial" was submitted.
This was submitted to the President of the House of Councillors by Senator Kazuyuki Hamada.
On November 19, 2013, a reply was issued in the name of the Prime Minister.
