In light of the fact that in recent years it has become more difficult to obtain special permission to stay in Japan for those who have filed an appeal for retrial,
On November 11, 2013, a written question was submitted regarding "Special permission to stay in Japan for persons who have filed a request for retrial."
This was submitted to the President of the House of Councillors by Senator Kazuyuki Hamada.
On November 19, 2013, a written response was issued in the name of the Prime Minister.
