We conducted a fundraising campaign for Filipinos living in Japan who were affected by the typhoon in the Philippines.

We received generous donations from many people.

On November 8, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan (Typhoon 30) struck central the Philippines.
As of November 22, according to CNN, the death toll has reached 5,209.
Furthermore, more than 3 million people have been forced to live in evacuation centers.

APFS has a large number of Filipino members living in Japan.
Even if they want to help the disaster victims, they have a stable life in Japan, such as having children or a wife there.
It's not easy to return to the Philippines.
I decided to start a fundraising campaign with the hope of helping the victims in my home country, even if only a little.

APFS will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013, from 13:30 to 16:00.
We conducted a fundraising activity at the east exit of Matsudo Station with 10 Filipino members residing in Japan.
There was a great deal of interest in the fundraising activity, and many people stopped by and made donations.
In just two and a half hours, we were able to raise 62,522 yen.

The 62,522 yen in donations will be sent to the Philippines as quickly as possible through a trustworthy local NGO.
The recovery of the affected areas is expected to be a long process. APFS will continue to develop and implement support measures in collaboration with its Filipino members in Japan.
We would appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
