November 28-30: Three foreign members departed for Izu Oshima disaster recovery volunteer work

Three foreign members have departed for disaster relief volunteer work on Izu Oshima Island.

On October 16, 2013, Typhoon No. 26 struck Izu Oshima.
So far, 35 people have died, and the whereabouts of 4 people are still unknown.
The foreign members of APFS were also saddened to learn about the disaster on Izu Oshima through the news.

As foreign residents who have lived in Japan for many years, we want to do what we can.
Three foreign members have now joined us.
From November 28th (Thursday) to 30th (Saturday), 2013, I participated in disaster relief volunteer work on Izu Oshima.
I've decided to participate.
We successfully departed from Takeshiba Pier at 8:40 AM on Thursday, the 28th. We plan to begin our activities at the site in the afternoon of Thursday, the 28th.
During this period, we plan to carry out activities based on local needs, and we also intend to make and serve samosas (Pakistani cuisine) to everyone.

To realize this project, expenses such as freight charges will be incurred.
Currently, through Just Giving Japan (fundraising site),
We are seeking donations to help make our activities a reality.
You can make online donations through Just Giving Japan.
We ask for the cooperation of as many people as possible.

"Supporting reconstruction efforts on Izu Oshima Island."
