On March 22, 2010, ABUBAKAR AWADU SURAJ (Ghanaian nationality)
He died during deportation.
APFS supported ABUBAKAR AWADU SURAJ during his lifetime.
The bereaved family and the Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Justice and the Tokyo Immigration Bureau, which are the parties involved in the case,
Supporters have called for an explanation and an apology.
On March 25th, we filed a request with the Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Justice.
The Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Justice is adamant that it is "leaving the matter to the police for investigation."
The explanations were only fragmentary.
And after that there was no response.
I was angry at the response of the Ministry of Justice Immigration Bureau and the Tokyo Immigration Bureau.
On April 30, APFS and fellow Ghanaians filed a joint petition with the Tokyo Immigration Bureau.
I made a request.
The five-member delegation entered the Tokyo Immigration Bureau and submitted a petition.
The three points we proposed are as follows:
① Please explain the details of the incident to the bereaved family.
②Please offer a formal apology to the bereaved family.
3) Please provide a satisfactory explanation for the non-starting of a retrial in Mr. Suraj's case.
Due to the dishonest response from the Tokyo Immigration Bureau, the request took more than an hour.
The heads of the General Affairs Division and Executive Department have promised to consider the above and provide a response.
However, ideally, there should be a response before the offer,
The bereaved families and fellow Ghanaians are deeply outraged.
During the presentation, APFS staff and fellow Ghanaians
They protested in front of the Tokyo Immigration Bureau.
We received sympathy and encouragement from many people who visited the Immigration Bureau.
At its peak, nearly 100 people were listening.
Furthermore, the nearly 300 flyers that had been prepared were gone in an instant, indicating the high level of interest.
APFS will continue to provide support to the Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Justice and the Tokyo Immigration Bureau.
We will demand an explanation of what happened and an apology.
We also ask Minister of Justice Keiko Chiba to ensure that appropriate measures are taken at the scene.
I will continue to sue.
We appreciate your support.
