Free mental health consultations will resume

In September and October of this year, APFS held a "Mental Health Counseling Cafe" where mental health professionals came to listen to people's stories. We heard stories of people who were struggling with poverty, who felt isolated because their understanding of religion was different from that of Japanese people, and who were constantly feeling emotionally distressed because their immigration situation was unstable.

Once a month in January, February, and March of next year, a psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist will be available to listen to you free of charge. If you're experiencing mental health issues, such as anxiety-related sleeplessness, loss of appetite, or emotional instability, please come and visit. We'll set aside one hour for each patient, and appointments are required so you can talk freely and comfortably. Talking can sometimes help you feel better, and if you're unsure whether to visit our clinic, please let our staff know and they'll help you decide. They'll also offer advice on how to manage your anxiety. While we can't prescribe medication, we hope to help you find a ray of hope in your distress. Our staff have experience working with foreigners. While we can provide English support, please let us know if you need an interpreter for another language.

If you would like to make a reservation, please contact us by email (apfs-1987@nifty.com) or by phone (03-3964-8739. If you leave a message, we will call you back later).
