APFS is currently in a very difficult financial situation. We have faced chronic financial crises in the past, but we still had some financial strength left and managed to continue our activities. However, our carry-over funds were almost completely depleted last year, and we are now in an urgent situation.
In response to this situation, we have decided to move to an office this August that will allow us to conduct our minimum business operations (securing a consultation booth and a space for administrative work). In the long run, the burden of rent and utilities will be significantly reduced, and we believe that the decision to move was the right one. However, the relocation expenses are a heavy burden, even if only temporarily, and our already tight finances have become even more difficult. We would appreciate your support through this emergency donation to help us get through this time.
Many of the people we currently support are asylum seekers or those granted provisional release, and naturally, we cannot expect donations from these individuals themselves. In order to maintain APFS as a place where these people in need can seek advice, we rely on your donations. In the midst of the recent rise of xenophobia against foreigners, APFS wants to be the last resort for provisional releasees and asylum seekers, whether for an individual or a family. Please support APFS so that we can continue these activities.
Please see the "Request for Donations" section under the "Support APFS" tab on our website.
