APFS Oshima Disaster Relief Volunteer Program (Day 2) has successfully concluded.

I did my best on the second day as well.

In the morning, there were three foreign members and one other volunteer, a total of four people.
We cleared away the mud and debris.
I persevered, wearing goggles, despite the strong wind blowing in from the sea.
In the afternoon, we worked to remove debris that had clogged the waterway.
The three members made the most of their strong physiques and worked hard at the physically demanding tasks.
Before traveling to Oshima, I was told that the need for volunteers was on the decline.
I was worried about whether we'd be able to carry out our activities, but my fears were unfounded.

I'm planning to have the people of Oshima eat it tomorrow.
They're going to prepare samosas (Pakistani-style vegetable wraps that are deep-fried).
I sincerely hope that Oshima's recovery will progress as quickly as possible.
