December's Marathon of 100 Foreigners' Consultations – 31-Year-Old Representative Runs!
We will raise 200,000 yen through JustGiving Japan.

[Challenge Completion Status] (Added December 27th)
We reached our goal of 100 consultations on Tuesday, December 24th. Thank you all so much for your support.

As of December 27th, the total amount of donations is 89,000 yen. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. However, we have not yet reached our goal of 200,000 yen.
We need funds to reach more foreigners. We are continuing to collect donations. Please support us!

For 26 years, APFS has been working towards "solution-oriented consultation," accompanying foreign residents on-site to resolve their problems. Currently, we receive consultations from foreign residents from 26 countries. In fiscal year 2013, our finances deteriorated rapidly, and the continuation of our activities is in jeopardy. In order for the representative to overcome this crisis and to connect with more people, we have decided to challenge ourselves to secure funding through JustGiving Japan (*).

[About this challenge]
I will be handling 100 consultations during December. That means I will be handling more than three consultations per day. As a 31-year-old representative, I will keep on running through December. By setting a time limit and continuing to meet with more foreign residents face-to-face, I will return to the fundamentals that I had almost forgotten amidst the daily grind. I will gain a structural understanding of what constitutes the problems surrounding foreign residents and be able to consider the next steps.

[What can be done with the target amount]
Kato can go to the "front lines" where there are problems involving 100 foreign residents (assuming 2,000 yen per person).

[Challenger Jotaro Kato Profile]
A 31-year-old man who, despite entering his 30s, still feels somewhat out of place. After working for a company and an educational research institution, he left his corporate job in April 2010 to start a new path as the representative of APFS. He joined APFS during his fourth year of university, and before he knew it, 10 years had passed. He loves APFS. He hopes to continue to keep the light of this place shining, so that foreign residents can feel even a little bit at ease.
