The second session of the Mental Health Counseling Cafe has concluded.

On October 5th, we held our second mental health counseling café.

This time, we had guests from the Philippines and Thailand.

Some of the problems discussed were familiar to Japanese people, such as cases where financial hardship leads to a loss of mental balance, or mental health issues stemming from religious beliefs, while others were unfamiliar to me.

Even though it may simply be a matter of financial hardship, for foreigners, financial hardship directly impacts whether or not they can remain in Japan, making it an even more serious and burdensome issue than for Japanese citizens.

A psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist listened carefully to the visitors, hoping to alleviate some of their emotional burden.

At the "Mental Health Counseling Cafe," mental health professionals will patiently listen to the concerns of foreigners. While they cannot prescribe medication, they will listen to your concerns and offer advice on how to maintain your mental health. So, if you've been feeling unwell lately, having trouble sleeping, feeling irritable, or have any other concerns, please come visit us.

We'll be taking a short break after this, and then starting in January, we'll be holding sessions once a month for a total of three. We'll announce the detailed schedule on this website later. Please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
