We have been approved to provide funding for a training course for counselors.

The APFS Counselor Training Course, which has been held since June 2023, has now been awarded funding from the Pal System Tokyo "Citizen Activity Grant Fund" for fiscal year 2023. The award ceremony was held on Sunday, October 7, 2023, at the Pal System Tokyo Shinjuku Headquarters, and Representative Yoshida and volunteer staff member Yamazaki attended. At the ceremony, we received a certificate of support and gave a presentation introducing the course. We were very inspired by the presentations and talks from other organizations (in fields such as education, environment, support for foreigners, and food support) and by the steady efforts of local residents working together.

Our counselor training course is almost full, but there are still two spots available for the final session (Sunday, January 28, 2024) of "Hearing from Those Who Have Experienced Problems." Hearing directly from people who have actually faced problems and sought help from APFS, and how they resolved their issues, will be extremely valuable for anyone interested in this field.
