We held a meeting to report on the Suraju case.

A lecture by a lawyer was also given.

On Sunday, August 28, 2011, the debriefing session regarding the Suraj case concluded successfully.
Nearly 50 people participated, and lectures were given on the progress of the case so far, the issues in the case by the defense lawyers (for example, the fact that non-statutory restraints were used, and the arbitrary interruption of video recording that was supposed to document the execution process), and the future direction of the case.

At this briefing session, Suraju's cousins, friends, and supporters, who had traveled from Osaka, came to share their memories of Suraju and their thoughts on the incident. Suraju's charming illustrations were also on display, offering a glimpse into his character. The truth will now be uncovered through a national compensation lawsuit. We will post the schedule for the national compensation proceedings on the APFS website and blog, and we would appreciate your cooperation in attending the hearings.
