The second consecutive lecture was held

On Sunday, October 27, 2019, the second lecture series "Interacting with Migrant Workers Living in Japan" was held. The theme of this lecture was "Current Situation of Migrant Workers from the Philippines." The guest speaker was Mika Hattori, a Filipino who has naturalized as a Japanese citizen. She spoke about daily life and child-rearing in Japan from the perspective of a migrant worker.

She said that the biggest difficulty in her daily life in Japan was reading and writing Japanese. She also told us the reason why she became a naturalized Japanese citizen.
During the class, we enjoyed the Filipino dish sinigang (shrimp soup).

The next one will be in Myanmar on November 24th. You can still participate, so please contact us if you are interested.
