On October 9, 2014, APFS, which has been consistently supporting
Mr. BOLANOS JORGE CABRERA (from the Philippines) has been granted special residence permission.
In recent years, it has been difficult to grant special permission to stay in Japan through petitions for reconsideration (requesting reexamination based on changes in circumstances after the issuance of a deportation order).
Mr. Bolanos had a Japanese wife and two children, so this was good news for his family, who had been worried about his unstable immigration situation.
Together with Mr. Bolanos, we have been working on various activities in pursuit of special residence permission, including volunteering in disaster-stricken areas, requesting support from local residents, and petitioning the local assembly.
All the activities so far have culminated in one result.
Bolanos also had a long-held desire to make his wife and children happy.
Now that they have obtained their residence status, they will surely work hard to make their "hopes" come true.
Since June 2014, APFS has been working on the "Road to Hope Project."
We will continue our activities to create a society in which everyone can have hope.
We appreciate your support.
