On October 9, 2014, APFS, which had consistently provided support,
Jorge Cabrera Bolanos (from the Philippines) has been granted special permission to reside in Japan.
In recent years, it has been difficult to obtain special permission to stay in Japan through appeals for retrial (requests for a second review based on changes in circumstances after the issuance of a deportation order).
Mr. Boranos had a Japanese wife and two children. This was good news for his family, who had been worried about Mr. Boranos's unstable living situation.
I have worked with Mr. Boranos on various activities aimed at obtaining special permission to stay in Japan, including volunteer work in disaster-stricken areas, requesting support from local residents, and petitioning the local council.
All of our activities up to this point have resulted in a significant achievement.
Furthermore, Boranos had long harbored the "hope" of "making his wife and children happy."
Having obtained their residence status, they will undoubtedly strive to fulfill their aspirations from now on.
APFS has been running the "Path to Hope Project" since June 2014.
We will continue our activities to create a society where everyone can have hope.
Your support would be greatly appreciated.
