The 6th and 7th meetings of the Zaitokukai Citizens' Roundtable were held.

On April 20th and May 31st, 2017, the 6th and 7th Citizens' Roundtable Meetings on Special Permission to Stay were held at the Itabashi Ward Cultural Center. At the 6th meeting, lawyer Koichi Kodama gave a report on "Case Law of the European Court of Human Rights," and Dr. Junpei Yamamura of Minatomachi Clinic gave a report on "Interviews with Members of the 7th Immigration Control Policy Roundtable." In particular, Mr. Kodama's report helped us understand how much importance and respect for family life is placed on it in Europe, and it provided valuable insights for the future APFS movement.

At the seventh meeting, we discussed how to put the content of this citizens' discussion into practice, and confirmed a policy of linking it to publications and policy recommendations. The details will be finalized at future meetings.
