We provided free health checkups for foreign residents.

Patients who consult with a doctor

On Sunday, August 21, 2016, from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, a "Free Health Checkup for Foreign Residents" was held at High Life Plaza Itabashi.

During the 1.5-hour registration period from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, a remarkable 49 people visited. Perhaps reflecting the event being held in Tokyo, the nationalities of the patients were extremely diverse, including Myanmar, the Philippines, Iran, Turkey, India, Pakistan, Nepal, China, Tanzania, Russia, Nigeria, and Mali.

In some cases, it was discovered that a patient's blood pressure was extremely high, and they were immediately referred to a medical institution, allowing for early prevention of the disease.

As a first-time initiative, we offered residency and living consultations at APFS simultaneously with health checkups. We observed a trend of people's health deteriorating due to their unstable residency situations. We received 13 consultations, indicating a very high need for such support.

Due to the large number of patients who came for consultations, we extended the time by one and a half hours. We would like to express our gratitude to SHARE, the co-sponsoring organization, for extending the time and providing such attentive care.
