APFS has been working on "100 Days of Action to Nurture Children's Dreams," starting with the "Children's Conference" on August 29, 2015.
There are children who are undocumented immigrants in Japan. In an unstable situation where they are uncertain as to whether they can stay in Japan or not, they cannot nurture their dreams. APFS aims to create a society where all children can nurture their dreams, and has been working with undocumented immigrants in Japan on various activities such as "children's conferences," "lobbying Diet members," and "launching support groups."
The 100-day action has passed the halfway point and is showing signs of expanding. On Friday, October 25th, we held a postcard drive in front of the Tokyo Immigration Bureau and submitted a petition to the Minister of Justice and the Director-General of the Tokyo Immigration Bureau. In just over an hour, we collected nearly 100 postcards, and decided to hold a similar action in November.
During the 100 days of action, we will carry out a series of actions, including postcard campaigns, press conferences, rallies, and a comprehensive symposium.
As November approaches, the Ministry of Justice and the Immigration Bureau are urging more than ever before to deport these children and their families, but APFS will not back down and will fight alongside the children. We want to win residence status so that as many children as possible can realize their dreams.
Funds are absolutely necessary to make the 100 Days of Action a success. Therefore, we ask for your donations to cover the postage costs to deliver postcards to the Minister of Justice, and the transportation costs for children to participate in the 100 Days of Action.
The cost of postage and the children's transportation expenses are calculated as follows, and the target amount is100,000We will set it as follows. Thank you for your support.
Target amount: 100,000 yen
(Breakdown) Postage: 52 yen x 200 sheets = 10,400 yen
Children's transportation costs: 10 people x 4 times x 2,000 yen (round trip) = 80,000 yen
