On Sunday, August 28, 2011, the report meeting on Suraj's case was successfully completed.
Just under 50 people attended the event, which included a report on the progress of the case so far, lectures by the defense team on problems with the case (such as the use of non-legal restraining devices and the arbitrary interruption of video recording that was supposed to record the execution process), and the future direction of the case.
Suraj's cousins, friends and supporters from Osaka also came to the meeting and shared their memories of Suraj when he was alive and their thoughts on the incident. Suraj's charming illustrations were also on display, and Suraj's character was remembered. The truth will be revealed in the future as part of the state compensation lawsuit. The schedule for the state compensation lawsuit will be posted on the APFS website and blog, so we ask for your cooperation in attending the hearing.
