We submitted a petition with 739 signatures to the Chiba District Public Prosecutors Office requesting an early indictment in the Suraj case. Mrs. Suraj personally handed the petition to Prosecutor Murakami, who is in charge of the case. This time, Prosecutor Murakami only accepted the petition and did not mention any prospects for the disposition of the Suraj case, but I believe that he understood the weight of the petition with 739 signatures and the feelings of everyone who signed it. Six months have already passed since this case was referred to the prosecutors at the end of last year. I believe that this petition will help push for an indictment.
Thank you very much to everyone who signed the petition. Not only did we receive signatures from Suraj and his wife's friends and acquaintances, but we also know that many people happened to learn about this case, copied the petition themselves, and gathered signatures from those around them. We truly feel that many people want the truth of this case to be revealed as soon as possible. Currently, in Suraj's case, the legal team is considering filing a civil lawsuit against the state. We will continue to report on the progress on this website, so we would appreciate your continued support.
