On March 22, 2010, Abubakar Awdu Suraj, a Ghanaian national who was illegally residing in Japan, died while being deported at government expense. APFS, together with Mr. Suraj's Japanese wife, has been taking action, including making appeals to the Immigration Bureau, the Ministry of Justice, the police, and the prosecutors, to uncover the truth.
