There are 62,009 undocumented foreigners living in Japan. With their stay getting longer, some are married to Japanese and some have children born in Japan. A.P.F.S. has consistently supported the 17 families and 3 individuals, in total 34 people, whose deportation has been already issued, for their special permission for residence. We have done various activities as “a Parade in Ginza” (November 2012), “a Human Chain” (December 2012), and “One Week Sit-in Action” in front of Tokyo Immigration Office (In May 2013). Through these continuous actions, the public interest seems to grow in the issue that undocumented foreigners confront. However, no one has been authorized special permission for residence yet as of July 2013.

We would like to start “1,000 post card campaign” as an additional action to support the 17 families and 3 individuals, in total 34 people for their special permission for residence. Please join us to send 1,000 postcards to Justice Ministry of Japan. Your warm assistance will be greatly appreciated.
