100-Day Action to Nurture Children's Dreams: Request for Donations to Cover Postage and Children's Transportation Costs

Provided by The Japan Times

APFS has been working on the "100-Day Action to Nurture Children's Dreams" since the "Children's Conference" on August 29, 2015.
There are children who are undocumented immigrants. In such an unstable situation, where they may or may not be able to stay in Japan, they cannot nurture their dreams. APFS has been working with undocumented immigrant children in various activities, such as "children's conferences," "lobbying members of parliament," and "establishing support groups," with the aim of realizing a society where all children can nurture their dreams.
The 100-day campaign has passed its halfway point and is gaining momentum. On Friday, October 25th, we held a "postcard campaign" in front of the Tokyo Immigration Bureau and submitted a letter of request addressed to the Minister of Justice and the Director of the Tokyo Immigration Bureau. Nearly 100 postcards were collected in just over an hour, and we decided to conduct a similar activity in November.
During the 100-day action, we will take action in succession, including a postcard campaign, press conferences, rallies, and a concluding symposium.
As November begins, the Ministry of Justice and the Immigration Bureau are pressuring children and their families to deport more than ever before, but APFS will not be intimidated and will fight alongside the children. We want to help as many children as possible obtain residence status so that they can realize their dreams.

Funding is absolutely essential to make the "100-Day Action" a success. Therefore, we would like to ask for your donations to cover the postage costs for sending postcards to the Minister of Justice, and the transportation costs for the children to participate in the "100-Day Action."
The cost of postage and the children's transportation expenses were calculated as follows, and the target amount was set as follows.100,000We will set it up as such. We appreciate your support.

Target amount: 100,000 yen
(Breakdown) Postage: 52 yen x 200 stamps = 10,400 yen
Children's transportation expenses: 10 children x 4 trips x 2,000 yen (round trip) = 80,000 yen
