We held a party to celebrate APFS's 30th anniversary!

Scenes from the 30th anniversary party - Uttoron

On December 10th, a party was held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of APFS's founding. The venue was Padma, an Italian restaurant owned by one of the APFS board members. More than 120 people attended, including members from various countries, lawyers, doctors, and academics, representing the history and achievements of APFS.

Throughout the event, participants offered congratulatory remarks. Former undocumented residents who fought alongside APFS and won special residency permits shared their experiences, their feelings during their time as undocumented residents, and their various achievements, such as becoming "permanent residents," acquiring Japanese citizenship, and achieving business success. Some of the children from that time had grown up and shared stories of marriage and the birth of their children. Bangladeshi members who founded APFS also participated, and they reminisced about the founding of the organization with Yoshinari, an advisor to APFS and also a founder. The event concluded with a performance by the Bangladeshi music band "Uthlon," and the venue was filled with excitement as everyone pledged to continue supporting APFS for its 40th, 50th, and beyond.
