J, an undocumented Filipino national: Project #2 to convey our voices

As part of our ongoing "Family Together!" campaign, we are sharing the voices of people who are illegally residing in Japan.
This time, we're featuring J, a high school student of Filipino nationality.
Both J's parents and he continue to reside in Japan as undocumented immigrants without valid residency status.

"My feelings"
My nationality is Filipino. I was born in Japan.
When I was in fourth grade, I learned that my father had been arrested by immigration officials. At the time, I didn't really understand why he had been arrested. However, I later learned that he had been arrested for overstaying his visa, and he was held at immigration for a year and two months. Life without my father was very difficult and truly painful.
However, my parents and I will not give up until we are granted special permission to stay in Japan. That's because we love Japan. We want to live in Japan forever. So my parents have pleaded with the immigration authorities many times. And they have been told harsh things many times. But our desire to stay in Japan is so strong that we have not given up. We will continue to plead with the immigration authorities.
My current problem is that I don't have health insurance. I love soccer and I'm in the soccer club at school. I get injured playing soccer, but because I don't have insurance, even if I want to go to the hospital, it costs more than everyone else, and I don't want to burden my family, so I've been hiding my injuries. Also, I can't play soccer freely and without restraint. I really need insurance.
Our family has gone through a lot of hardship. However, we will continue to work hard as a family, without giving up, to obtain special permission to stay in Japan, a country we love and want to live in peace.
