The 6th and 7th Zaitoku Citizens Forums were held.

The 7th Citizens' Forum

The 6th and 7th Public Consultations on Special Permission to Stay were held at Itabashi City Cultural Hall on April 20th and May 31st, 2017. At the 6th meeting, lawyer Koichi Kodama gave a report on "Precedents of the European Court of Human Rights," and Dr. Junpei Yamamura of Minatomachi Clinic gave a report on "Interviews with Members of the 7th Immigration Control Policy Consultation Committee." In particular, the report from lawyer Kodama made it clear how much importance and respect is placed on family life in Europe, which was highly suggestive for the future APFS movement.

At the 7th meeting, we discussed how to output the contents of this citizen forum, and confirmed the policy of linking it to publication and policy recommendations. Details will be finalized at the next meeting.
