Starting today, a serialization titled "What about Children Today?" has begun in the education section of the Asahi Shimbun morning edition.
Children without resident status who are working with APFS to win resident status will be featured for four consecutive days from Thursday, February 18th to Sunday, February 21st. We have carefully interviewed the children to find out their feelings.
APFS has been working on "100 Days of Action to Nurture Children's Dreams" from August 29, 2015 to January 17, 2016. This series was made possible thanks to the children's hard work in the "100 Days of Action".
On November 25, 2015, he held a press conference at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan. His courage in speaking out about his situation at the press conference led to this series. The article dated February 18 (Thursday) also includes photos of the "100 Days of Action," including the "Postcard Action" in front of the Tokyo Immigration Bureau and the parade in Shibuya.
Our goal is not to be featured in the newspaper. Our goal is to help children raise their futures with peace of mind. APFS plans to submit a request to the Ministry of Justice within this fiscal year for special permission to stay for foreigners without resident status, including children.
We would like to continue various activities in the future, but APFS's finances are by no means solid. In order to carry out more dynamic activities, we need your help.
