We provided free health checkups for foreign residents.

74 patients visited the clinic.

On September 15, 2013 (Sunday), a free health checkup for foreign residents was held in collaboration with SHARE (Citizens' Association for International Health Cooperation) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. 74 people received the checkup (an increase of 24 compared to last year). There was a sharp increase in the number of Nepalese participants (26 people).
Patients received chest X-rays, blood pressure measurements, urinalysis, physical examinations, medical consultations, dental consultations, and nutritional consultations. APFS volunteers provided interpretation services on the day, offering support in English, Chinese, Bengali, Burmese, Tagalok, and other languages.
Many of the participants were asylum seekers or those seeking special permission to stay in Japan, and many had had to interrupt their treatment due to financial reasons. Numerous referral letters were issued, allowing us to connect participants with medical institutions.
