Report on the donation project "Let's support the dreams of young people beyond the barriers of residence status"

Letter from the sponsored family

Thank you for your prompt donation to the donation project "Supporting the dreams of young people by overcoming the barriers of residence status."

On January 21, 2022, we handed over your donations in cash to a single-parent family of Filipino nationality (including two children, a high school student and a junior high school student) who is in a high-urgent situation and unable to work while on provisional release, and who are struggling to make ends meet. They said they would use the money to purchase food and daily necessities (detergent, shampoo, etc.). The family's third-year high school student hopes to enter a vocational school this spring, but they are worried about their current unstable residence status, whether they will be able to continue their education, and the financial difficulties they are facing, and they are living in a mentally unstable environment. APFS, of course, supports them with the immigration procedures to obtain special residence permission, but if we can send them other support like this, they will feel that there are many people who are supporting them and will be able to work hard toward their dreams.
Through this donation project, we will support undocumented young people who are struggling to make ends meet or continue their education, so we appreciate your cooperation.
