[Participants Wanted] Employment Support and Computer Courses for Foreign Residents

Let's learn how to use a computer.

APFS, with funding from the Welfare and Medical Services Agency, is working on a project to "comprehensively support the independence of foreign residents." To promote the independence of foreign residents, we are undertaking various projects, including training caregivers and conducting courses. As part of this project, we launched the following two courses for foreign residents on November 15th (Sunday).
By offering foreign residents two courses—employment support and computer skills—we aim to empower them to find new jobs, change jobs to those with better conditions, and ultimately become self-sufficient.
Joining midway is also welcome. Please feel free to participate!

[Employment Support Course]
Lecturer: Kumiko Ara (Social Insurance and Labor Consultant, Hibiya Station Social Insurance and Labor Consultant Office)
One of the biggest challenges for foreigners working in Japan is the unique employment system. Understanding the differences between Japan and other countries, such as lifetime employment and job rotation, is crucial. Furthermore, knowing the Labor Standards Act is essential for protecting oneself. We also provide employment support and aim to expand employment opportunities for foreign residents, ultimately helping them become independent members of society.

[Computer Course]
Lecturer: Kohei Ishii (IT Specialist, IBM Japan)
The aim is to help foreign residents who are unable to obtain appropriate information due to their inability to operate computers to use computers and overcome their fear of them. The goal is for them to be able to create documents using Microsoft Word, create simple tables using Excel, and access the information they need, such as job postings, on the internet.
