APFS has been working on the "APFS 100 Days of Action to Nurture Children's Dreams," starting with the "Children's Conference" on Saturday, August 29, 2015.
On Sunday, October 4th from 14:00 to 15:30 in Tokyo
In order to support an Iranian high school freshman and her mother who are in an irregular situation,
We conducted a signature campaign calling for special residence permits for undocumented Iranian mothers and children.
The Iranian mother and child are surrounded by local supporters, including the mothers of their classmates and residents living nearby. On the day of the petition, two of their high school classmates also participated.
Although it was only a short time, we were able to get signatures from over 100 people. Some people were confused by the unfamiliar term "irregular residence," but after reading the flyer, some people came back to sign the petition. One high school student who participated in the signature drive said, "I felt a sense of accomplishment."
The total number of signatures is already approaching 1,500. APFS will continue to support the signature campaign and convey to the Ministry of Justice and the Immigration Bureau that many people are supporting them.
In addition to the children's conferences, lobbying, and signature campaigns, we plan to carry out various other activities in the future, including requests to immigration bureaus, press conferences, and parades.
We would appreciate your support.
