I am Bangladeshi and have been living in Tokyo for three years.
At first, I had a lot of difficulties with the language and commuter trains, but thanks to my colleagues and the customers at the restaurant where I work, my Japanese gradually improved.
In Japan, it is very difficult to find a place to rent as a foreigner because landlords are reluctant to let you live there, but thanks to my friend, I was able to find a place close to my workplace. I think the government has a big responsibility to solve this problem, such as changing the public's awareness.
APFS has supported many (irregularly staying) foreigners to avoid being deported to their home countries. Japan is an attractive country for people from all over the world, and foreigners who come to Japan want to live in harmony with Japanese people. In addition, the aging population is gradually making the labor force in Japan less and less.
I'm grateful to everyone at APFS for providing me with a platform to express my thoughts.
