APFS began on August 18, 2014."A petition calling for the legalization of undocumented foreign residents who are staying in Japan for extended periods, and for the creation of a society where everyone can have hope."We are doing this for 36 local councils.
The petition was featured prominently on NHK News 7 and has generated a significant response. We have also received numerous inquiries from local council members.
We are currently raising funds through the crowdfunding site "READY FOR?" to cover transportation costs in order to submit a petition to the local assembly.
Crowdfunding is a method of raising funds for an individual or organization with a specific goal by collecting support from a large number of people via the internet.
Depending on the amount of your donation, we will also be offering a small gift.
These are discount coupons and free tickets for the "Workshop to Listen to the Wishes of Foreigners" and the "APFS HOME PARTY," which APFS has been holding since this year.
There are only two weeks left until the sponsorship campaign ends. If we don't reach our target amount by October 31, 2014, we won't receive a single yen (all funds will be refunded to the sponsors).
As of October 17th, we have raised 169,000 yen, achieving 84% of our goal, and are very close to our target.
There are still some council meetings where we need to explain the purpose of our petitions to local council members and visit various political groups, so we still have a lot of travel expenses to cover.
By exceeding our target amount (200,000 yen), we hope to visibly demonstrate to society that there is widespread support for building a society where everyone can have hope.
We would appreciate your support.
