The fourth consecutive lecture was held

The fourth session

On January 26th, we held the 4th lecture in the series "Interactions with Migrant Workers Living in Japan." This time, the guest speakers were Zahid and Salm from Bangladesh. They talked about their reasons for coming to Japan and their work experiences. They said that when they came to Japan in the early 1990s, it was really difficult for them to find an apartment. This was also something that the guest from the previous session from Myanmar had said. They were turned down for an apartment because they were from Bangladesh and were told that the smell of cooking, such as curry, would be a nuisance to the neighbors.

The participants asked various questions about work environment, religion, etc., and the two hours passed in a flash. The guest cooked a rice dish called "Biryani" and enjoyed it with all the participants.
