We have received many kind donations for our donation project "Supporting the dreams of young people beyond the barriers of residence status," which we started in November last year. We have received messages such as, "Life should not be significantly distorted by a man-made system called residence status," and "I hope that we can create a society that supports young people who are trying their best in Japan." Young people without residence status cannot receive public assistance such as financial assistance for studying or scholarships, their parents cannot work because they are on provisional release, they are impoverished because they cannot pay for living expenses or tuition fees, and they are unable to dream of the future.
As in the previous time, we provided support for educational expenses to a single-parent family of undocumented Filipino nationals who are in the most urgent need of support and are living in poverty. Mr. B, a high school student, successfully passed the entrance exam for a vocational school, and the deadline for paying the entrance fee in March is approaching, so the money will be used to cover part of the payment. We received a message of thanks from Mr. B, which we would like to introduce.
Dear Sir, Thank you for sending me the financial support for my tuition fees in celebration of my admission to a vocational school. To be honest, without the support, I would have been in a very difficult financial situation, so it was a great help. I will never forget the support I received and will work hard at my studies, so I hope you will continue to support me in the future.
