APFS provides support to many undocumented children and young people. There are also children who are currently in an irregular status, and young people who have been granted special permission to stay in Japan and are now living on their own, despite their parents having been forced to return to their home countries. The reality is that there is almost no public or private support available. We provide them with advice on their residence status and other aspects of life, and sometimes accompany them to immigration and government offices, but many children on provisional release are struggling to make ends meet and are unable to continue their education. We have also seen many children whose parents have returned to their home countries and do not have the money to continue their education.
In this donation project,We will also provide financial support, especially to children and young people, with a view to helping them advance to higher education and achieving their dreams.Donations received will first be used to help children and young people in urgent need (those who cannot pay their school fees or have food to eat). Through these activities, we hope to give children and young people hope that they can achieve their dreams, even in the face of the barrier of visa status (donations will also be used to cover administrative and personnel costs for our organization related to these activities).
*Donations to this donation project are eligible for tax benefits such as donation deductions. In addition, donations from corporations can be deducted as donations up to the special deductible limit (for more information on donation deductions, please contact the Public Resources Foundation, the operator of the online donation site Give One). https://giveone.net/index.html for more information.)
