On August 28, the 9th Public Discussion Meeting on Special Residence Permits was held at the Itabashi City Cultural Center. Following on from the previous meeting, the main topics discussed were the chapters to be published in the run-up to the 30th anniversary of APFS and the details of the recommendations to the 7th Immigration Control Policy Council.
At the end of the event, the kick-off meeting for the new APFS-sponsored campaign "Family Together!" was also announced. On the day, lawyer Koichi Kodama will talk about how "family life" is respected in Europe, based on precedents from the European Court of Human Rights.
