Selected for the Pfizer program

APFS has now announcedPfizer Program: Supporting citizen activities and research on mental and physical health careWith funding from Pfizer Holdings Inc., APFS will begin a project to build a mental health care support system for counselors working with foreigners in Japan in January 2012.
On Friday, December 16, 2011, the presentation ceremony was held at Pfizer Holdings Inc., and the representative director, Kato, and volunteers attended. At the ceremony, the above project was introduced.

The selection committee gave us the following evaluation. (The following is an excerpt from the overall evaluation.)
The organization that received the most positive reviews from the committee members was the Asian People's Friendship Society in Tokyo. Foreigners staying in Japan have serious and diverse concerns, and this organization has been providing counseling services for 20 years. In the process, the need for counselors to relieve stress became apparent, and this project aims to survey counselors from many organizations engaged in similar activities and build a support system. This is a common problem in a variety of counseling services, and we look forward to seeing results from this citizen research that mobilizes a wide range of experts.
