On Sunday, February 23rd, the fifth session of the series "Interactions with Migrant Workers Living in Japan," entitled "The Life of Young Migrant Workers from China," was held. The guest speaker was Li Shiqi. She became interested in Japan through anime and other things, and studied Japanese as a student before coming to Japan. She talked about her daily life as an IT worker and her dreams for the future. She also talked about the "mystery of Japanese people" that Chinese people find strange, such as how Japanese people seem to strictly separate their work and private lives, and how she was confused when she finally became close with a colleague over a drinking session, only to find that their relationship had gone back to normal the next day. She also said that she wanted to make friends with Japanese people, but that it was difficult.
After the talk, everyone enjoyed some home-cooked food prepared by Li.
