APFS was established by the Japanese and the Bangladeshi 26 years ago. A lot of members who established APFS went back to their home country, while some of them remained in Japan.
We heard that Mr. Mostofa, who was one of the managing members and went back to Bangladesh struggled with cancer in December, 2013.
Mr. Masud Karim, who was the first Secretary general asked us to help to raise funds in Japan in order to get enough money for treatment.
Although APFS began to prepare for fund raising, Mr. Mostofa passed away in December 2013. His wife and young children has been left. They cannot make ends meet after his death.
Therefore APFS carried on raising funds at VICTORY DAY (the meeting which celebrates Bangladeshi Independence Day). We raised funds from Bangladeshi people living in Japan and sent Mostofa’s wife 60,000 JPY.
