Nonprofit Organization, A.P.F.S. (ASIAN PEOPLE’S FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY) hold a charity concert co-hosting with ASAJ(Arakan Social Association Japan). The charity concert was organized to aim at support from Arakan people (one of the peoples of Myanmar) living in Japan to Arakan people living in Myanmar. Seven artists including NAY TOE, a famous actor in Myanmar arrived in Japan.

The charity concert started with a silent prayer to mourn the victims of the earthquake which happened offshore of Tohoku and Ibaraki districts on March 11, 2011 (Friday). Due to the earthquake the concert was in danger of not being able to hold. Thanks to the cooperation of the artists and staff members as well as courage of people who attended the concert even in continuous aftershocks, the concert, however, ended with great success.

The proceeds from the charity concert will be donated to 1) medical students as scholarship, 2) highly capable students to enter into universities as scholarship and 3) children’s nursing homes as aid.

We highly appreciate cooperation rendered.
