Introducing Burmese Culture
On February 28, APFS joined the Myanmar Culture and Welfare Association (MCWA) as part of the Burmese festival Tamanepoe Pwe.
We spent a wonderful day playing games, learning about Burmese history, and talking with other participants while enjoying the holiday delicacy of Tamanepoe (sticky rice).
While much of our work at APFS centers on a movement for Special Permission for Residence,
we also take the time to enjoy spirited activities such as this.
The event was a terrific opportunity for us to get to become closer to our many Burmese friends.
