On November 24, we held our 3rd meeting of our continuous series entitled “Exchange with Immigrant Workers in Japan”. Our guest speaker was Mr. Maung Than from Myanmar. He spoke about his life in Japan as well as about his close friend from the same town in Myanmar, who also lives in Japan. He spoke of how many immigrants from Myanmar work in restaurants and convenient stores. Mr. Maung Than mentioned that he did not experience much racism in Japan. There were other participants from foreign countries who also shared their experiences and feelings about Japan.
